doaplib

News: doaplib is being re-written from scratch using rdflib and RDFAlchemy and will be included as a library in doapfiend. There is no further development on the elementtree branch.

doaplib is a Python DOAP parser, writer and validator meant to be easy to use. doaplib requires no RDF or XML experience to use.

doaplib is lightweight, uses no external libraries, except optionally lxml for the validator.

Status

• Writer: All DOAP elements supported, but shortdesc and description need the ability to set language encodings. It defaults to 'en'.

• Parser: All DOAP elements supported

• Validator: Strict DOAP validator, validates against this RELAX_NG schema.

You can download doaplib from svn. Included is a command-line tool for validating DOAP records.
